What do you get when you put The Clangers, a pigeon, a rave horn, broken beat rhythm and a nasty baseline into a big industrial blender? Well probably something that sounds very similar to this brand new iO Music offering from new kid on the block Marc Stage.

Hailing from Germany, Marc fell in love with techno in the early 90’s and landed his first DJ residency at the legendary Rock Inc a top German night spot famed for championing the tech sound. This saw Marc play with some of the most talented DJs from the electronic genre, spinning next to the likes of Sven Väth, Paul van Dyk and Mark Spoon, an opportunity which made sure that Marc Stage’s DJ and production style was non other than top notch.

Blush is the first production and is a good indicator of things to come. With a funky yet dark bassline and that recognisable top line, the track is tight and nicely constructed. Juergens serves a tasty re-rub with some funky drum patterns and Martin Heyder chops the samples to serve a cool re-rub.

After the massive success of Licky by Larry Tee and Princess Superstar and the recent Kick Out The Jams from Moguai, expect Blush to join iO Music’s 2008 success story!
