The latest offerings from award-winning radio presenters, international DJ’s and remix and production artists, Riley & Durrant’s excellently received long player ‘Research & Development’ comes in the shape of superb remixed two tracker ‘Aurora’ / ‘Experiment 2’.

Having met behind the decks at the now deceased Gatecrasher in Sheffield, Riley & Durrant quickly formed a strong partnership both having highly skilled musical backgrounds (classically trained in piano, keyboards, violin, and drums). Early on, the decision was to focus on their own production with the first track ‘Candesco’ becoming a true trance anthem after being picked up by the biggest DJ in the world- Tiësto, being a highlight of his record-breaking first 25,000 capacity ‘Tiësto In Concert’, Holland. Following this, the remix work came flooding in and names that have been under the Riley & Durrant knife include Way Out West, Sinead O’Connor and Armin Van Buuren.

‘Aurora’ (Club Mix)’ is an up-tempo yet beautiful rework of the album version that dreamily builds itself around a vocal sample and blissed out groove whilst ‘Experiment 2’ sees the guys join forces with Hauswerks to turn out a deep, down and dirty club remix. A trance-based electro tech monster, this will have you cutting shapes across any dancefloor.

The latest release to show off album highlights helps illustrates the duos ability to turn their hand to any form of electronic music with apparent ease and perfectly represents the diversity of their album.
