Following the killer launch party in August featuring Detroit Grand Pubahs and Toddla T Clapham’s freshest new monthly club night Out The Box returns with yet more stupid funky fresh beats this time courtesy of some of the hottest kids on the block!
Headlining this second party is one of our favourite electro artists right now - Shadow Dancer who’ll be playing Live on the 18th. Signed to leading electro label Boys Noize Records in 2007, Welsh brothers Paul & Ali Farrier have smashed club land with releases such as ‘Shadow Dance EP’ ‘Cowboise’ and ‘Soap / Northern’ alongside the release of the debut album ‘Golden Traxe’ which saw the guys draw major support from the likes of Mixmag, Observer and The Times. Having remixed artists such as The Whip, Adam Sky, Chromeo and Splittr, it’s with great pleasure we welcome this duo to Out The Box!
Second in command is someone we consider to be one of the most exciting DJs at present DJ Zinc, a man who’s history in the Drum N Bass scene needs little or no introduction but for Out The Box he will play house. Recently being inspired by the bassline / 4x4 sound emanating out of London and beyond DJ Zinc has put the DnB on hold and is focused on his own unique brand of bassline-led ‘Crack’ House with devastating effect. Fast carving a name for himself in this scene Zinc’s new line of beats are winning support from the scenes leading DJs and stations such a Radio 1.
Rounding up this months guests we have Tomb Crew, having dropped some killer remixes for the likes of Greco Roman, Meneo and regular contributors to the excellent Clek Clek Boom! It’s safe to say if you like to party, Tomb Crew won’t let you down, expect a mash up of UK Funky, Grime, House and Dubstep flavas, not to be missed! Backing things up will be electro duo Disco Of Doom and Garage bad-man Hot City
